 Well hello there...

Let me tell you a little bit more about me. I'm an Award Winning professional wedding photographer based in the lovely North East of England. I live with my wife Lauren, my little boy Zach, baby girl Madison and George the cat. My surname isn't a forgettable one, I spend far too much time spelling it over the phone!

​

Here's a few things you should know about me. I love watching films, horror, comedy, thriller, favourite all time film being, John Carpenter's Halloween. I'm a huge Football Manager addict, like literally I've wasted years and years of my life on that game! I can't walk past a cat in the street without trying to summon the little guy over! My Mrs calls me the cat whisperer lol. I also like to run, alot. I try and run 3/4 times a week if I'm not to busy editing Wedding snaps!

For as long as I can remember I’ve always preferred looking at the pictures to reading the words so I’m lucky enough to have been working as a creative for some time. My first experience with photography was looking at photographs when I was very young. I remember my parents having some brightly coloured photograph albums which contained pictures from their holidays and adventures before I was born. I was captivated by them. The way that you could re-live a moment just by looking at an image.

I didn’t get behind a camera until much later in life when I started photographing pretty much anything at college, my favourite being street photography. I'd develop the images in the dark room whilst attending my graphic design course. It turns out that people are a lot more interesting to photograph. After photographing my first wedding, which was an an incredibly daunting yet exciting experience, I fell in love with documenting weddings. I love the emotional roller coaster of every wedding day and feel compelled to tell stories with my images. The camera is just the tool I use to capture what I see and feel on every wedding day – I really do shoot from the heart.

Ok, now for the serious stuff. I shoot with two Sony full frame, mirrorless cameras and a variety of lenses. I am fully insured. I cover weddings in Northumberland, Durham, Tyneside, Wearside, North Yorkshire and surrounding areas and will travel further for a small fee (cover my petrol costs, throw in a flat white and a bacon sandwich and I'm yours).
